194647 Schwinn Henderson B6 Bicycle

This is 1946/47 schwinn henderson b-6. Fresh from an estate auction via a barn here in new england! Auctioneer said it was in a barn under many large rugs. First, a bit of this bike's history. In 1910 ignaz schwinn, co-founder of the schwinn bicycles co, bought out the excelsior motorcycle company. Shortly after, excelsior became one of the big three motorcycle companies along with harley davidson and indian. To compete with the other two, schwinn expanded his company and bought out the henderson motorcycle company in 1917. Schwinn ended production of their motorcycles in 1931 due to the onset of the depression but schwinn continued to build bicycles, becoming the foremost bicycle company in america, and mayn of their models were badged using the excelsior and henderson name.
Thus, keepign his vision alive! This is one of them.

This bike is maroon and crema with black pinstripes. All original paint. No touch ups, no extra welds, breaks, or dents in the frame!

I have done nothing to this bike at all, other than throw some very nice carlisle u. S. A. Made lightning dart 26 x 2.125 tires on the drop center rims.

Paint is in nice condition and with a wash and wax, could look very nice. Chrome is in good ocndition all around. Only knock i can see is a small hole in the side of the front fender light cover. Probably a battery blew up in there before someone noticed it.

Apparently, they gto it out before it did too much damage to the fender itself. No cancer under the tray and only a little bit of superficial damage just below the left side of the cover on the fender itself (see pic 8). Cover lost most fo its paint in the ordeal. Seat must have been swapped out at some point with a schwinn phantom style mesinger seat. Aside from that, this would be a killer biek for someone with the time to restore it back to its original glory.
I took apart the tank just to see if the big brass button delta horn unit would work with some fresh duracells, and it did. Loud! Check out the inside of the tank.
Super clean! Again, other than the tires, nothing has been done to this biek and it looks like this! Wow. An awesome barn find! Imagine once you have won ti and spent a little bit of time on it. Hmmmm. As always, no reserve. Check the pics and bid accordingly. Sold as is simply because i haven't done a thing to it. Thanks. Flat rate shipping very carefully bubble wrapped via ups si $75 to lower 48 only. Pya pal or u. S.
P. S.
Money order only please. (all others will eb returned unless you asked first to pay differently).
