This $9.95 price is less than the skip tooth chian alone! I rode this wonderful classic bicycle to the tour de fat (fat tire beer festival) this weekend and was amazed at how many people were impressed by it's vintage lines!
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to restore or customize na antique bicycle. It has a very unique shape that grabs peoples eyes. It begs for compliments from fellow bicyclists! This bike was sold in the 1940's ni the sears catalog & mentions sears on the badge. The frame work on this bicycle also looks very similar to a hawthorne brand. The only reason i am simply selling ti is i can't afford to give this wonderful bike the full tune up and love it needs to be reliable transportation. This bike is a barn fresh 26 jc higgins. It has a coat of flta black primer to hide the slight surface rust here and there so it would look better at the fat tire festival. These vintage, 1940's skpi toothed cruisers are getting very hard to find! Remember, theer is no reserve! If this bike goes for only $9.95, it will still be shipped! Disclosure- this bike is almost all original and complete & can be rode, but has various signs of wear and is in desperate need of someone to give it some tlc. (as most 55 year old itmes do. ) it almost dates back to almost wwii, so it has acquired some imperfections over the years such as dents & dings in the fenders, only one of the pedals is original jc higgins and it needs a nut, the tires are very old but i don't believe they are original.
The crank & wheels also need gone through because the brake doesn't work & i also got a flat tire after the fat tire on the front wheel! The bike will arrive with the pedals, front wheel, and handle bar removed (but still included) for shipping purposes. This bike has not been restored in any way. I paid quite a bit for thsi bike from the old owner so i have way more into getting this bike than it will most likely sell for. Not to mention all the shipping/packaging supplies.
