Schwinn Orange Krate Bike 1968This is a rare find, i aploogize but it is a little dusty. I have had this bike looked at by a collector and was told that this is an original 1968 schwinn orange krate. The only thing that is not original is the back tire. This bike has not been repainted. It appeasr to have all the bells and whistles.
Gear shifter is orgiinal and i believe it is in working order yet, i have not rode the bike. It has a few scratches in the frame paint, also on the bottom of the seat near the rear tag. The tires need air and the front tire looks like it has a dry rot spot on it.
The tires did hold air when filled last year. This would be an excelent christmas gift for that unexpecting husbnad who remembers these bikes as a child or for the avid collector. Please e mail me with any questions. Serial #bd43568 thanks! |
